At Penesi we believe the digital shop should be accessible to everyone, regardless of disability, technical capability, or browsing method. We are committed to continuous improvement.
Compliance standards
This site is designed to comply with:
- WCAG 2.2 level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
- EN 301 549 — European accessibility standard for ICT products.
- European Accessibility Act (EAA) — Directive (EU) 2019/882, in force since 28 June 2025.
- Greek Law 4727/2020 — incorporation of the directive into Greek law.
Compliance status
The site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Some elements are under development or require further testing with assistive technologies.
Known limitations
We are actively working on the following points:
- Some product images may not yet have descriptive alt text — being optimised.
- The cookie banner doesn't yet have full keyboard navigation — pending.
- The photo folder is mostly decorative and doesn't require descriptions in all cases.
